Adults 18 years of age and older with Asperger Syndrome, High-Functioning Autism and PDD-NOS are welcome to attend our social/meetings.

Meetings will be held at Health Quest of Central Jersey. It is located at 310 Highway 31 North, Flemington, N.J. 08822. Phone (908) 782-4009.

All meetings are from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M. the 3rd Sunday of every month, unless otherwise noted.

As of June 21st, we are down to 3 vendors due to the hiring freeze.

Sorry for the disappointment,we have blank applications from some who

could not send anyone to represent them. The representatives from the

ARC, Allies, Inc. and N.J. Department of Labor & Workforce Development

will still be present. Much information to hand out, including the new

bills that have been passed and signed by Governor Corzine. Also, info on

The Small Business and Self-Employment Service that is available and on

housing. Don't forget that there will be door prizes and refreshments

and snacks. Sorry for any inconvience this has caused anyone.

Information from Hire Disability Solutions and Job Accommodation Network

is available Sunday.

We will be having a sign in sheet to note the amount of people who showed for the

job fair and show the need for jobs for the asperger syndrome population.

Due to the economy, we have had many disappointments.
This week alone, three have had to cancel. Many companies
have been put on a hiring freeze, but have sent me applications
for future use. Best-Buy, Vontage, Shop-Rite and Wegmans are still
coming and the possibility of more. We are still having the
representatives from Allies, The ARC and The New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

June 22 JOB FAIR AND HOUSING PROGRAM AND TAX INCENTIVE. SOME OF THE GUEST ARE ALLIES INC AND PATTY KOWALCHUCK FROM THE ARC OF HUNTERDON. THERE WILL BE DOOR PRIZES THAT DAY. PLEASE BRING YOUR RESUME’S SOME COMPANY ARE DOING INTERVIEWS AND SOME COMPANY WILL HAVE FLYER ABOUT UPCOMING JOB OPENING. THERE IS A $5.00 FEE IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER OF ASPEN YOU CAN SIGN UP THAT DAY. OPEN TO ANYBODY 18 YEAR AND UP WHO HAS ASPERGER SYNDROME. LOT OF COLLEGES AND COLLEGE STUDENTS TO ADULTS WITH ASPERGER SYNDROME WILL BE THERE. PLUS PARENT OF ADULTS WITH ASPERGER SYNDROME ARE COMING TO. YOU WILL GET LOT OF INFORMATION ON ASPERGER SYNDROME THAT DAY FROM GUEST SPEAKER.
