Social/Support Group forming for Adults with Asperger’s Syndrome
Asperger syndrome group for Adults, ages 18 and up who have
Asperger’s Syndrome. Other young people with high-functioning autism,
or PDD may also be comfortable in our group.
The main purpose of the group will be socializing.
We meet once a month for a support-type group,
where we will get to know one another and talk about the
challenges of our jobs or college classes, learning to deal
with co-workers, and finding friends when school is over.
We would also like to meet one other night each month to go to a
movie, out to dinner, bowling or any other activities that the group
members are interested in.
We have tentatively arranged to meet at
Healthquest in Flemington. We have reserved a room for late
Sunday afternoons. We would meet for two hours from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.
Parents would be welcome to meet with one another at the same time.
The group will have a facilitator, someone who can help us with the
tasks of running a meeting.
If you or someone you know would be interested in joining our group,
please contact Matt at info@aspergerfriends.com

SUMMER CAMP OPENINGS
Camp Ramapo serves children with:
• Autism and similar Pervasive Developmental Delays
• Learning Disabilities
• Emotional and Behavioral Problems
• Attention Deficit Disorder
This summer camp is ideal for youth who benefit from increased structure and supervision. The program is focused on the development of positive social and self-help skills, forming productive relationships, and having fun in a safe and well cared for environment.
There is a 1:1 camper to counselor ratio within three summer programs, each designed for a different age group: Early Adventures (4 to 6 years old), Summer Adventure (6 to 13 years old), and a Teen Leadership Program (14 years old and above). We enroll campers on a rolling basis and currently have openings. Fees are set on a sliding scale.
Information and applications are available at our website (www.ramapoforchildren.org), or by calling 845-876-8403.

college students with aspergers
This club is for college studens who have Asperger's syndrome or high-functioning
autism to meet and counsel one another. A second, equally important,
purpose is to serve younger people who have plans for college. Thirdly,
relatives, spouses, and instructors of Asperger's/HF autism sufferers
can use the other members as a resource for helping their loved ones or
students overcome their unique obstacles and (finally?) achieve to a level
commensurate with their ability and effort.

Asperger Adults
This group is for adults with Asperger's Syndrome. It is a place
to share information and experience and get some support too.
3.Aspergers Singles
One of the deepest problems of adults with Asperger's Syndrome
is the search for meaningful relationships, and, ultimately, a loving
partnership with another adult to share life with. This is a forum to
discuss any subject that might have relevance to this issue, be it the
pros and cons of both being single and finding a partner. Even finding
and keeping friends is a related subject. Those who are most open to
expessing their ideas, emotions, and personal experiences in this realm
will benefit most on this list. Others with involement in any part of the
Autistic Spectrum are welcome to join.
4.Adult_Support_Group · Tallahassee Area Autism Asperger Adults
This is the online connection for participants in
the adult support group in Tallahassee, Florida.
It is open to all adults in the Tallahassee/
North Florida area (and perhaps even adjoining parts of southern Georgia)
with autism spectrum disorders.

Women with Asperger Syndrome
Asperger Syndrome appears to be a male dominated condition,
and there is very little information & guidance available to
women dealing with our unique challenges. I would like to invite
all WOMEN WITH ASPERGER SYNDROME to join, and support each other
in learning how to recognize those aspects of our lives affected
by the disorder, and assist each other in developing coping strategies.
This is a moderated board, and accepts only adult females who have AS.
If the medical profession is not able/willing to address the differences
between male and female manifestations of this condition, it is up to us
to be there for each other.
I hope you'll join me.
